Try Castlecroft INSERT INTO post VALUES (Mitsy dealer) in Wolverhampton - but I doubt £8k will be enough mate - they regularly sell them

details in the ad are....

The Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 is the thinking man's fast car
The VR4 is an awesome car that boasts over 280Bhp from its 2.5 litre 24-valve Twin Turbo V6. The power is transmitted through a permanent 4 wheel drive system which benefits from Active Yaw ControlINSERT INTO post VALUES (AYC). A computerised 5-speed triptronic gearbox adapts the timing of gearshifts to emulate the driver's preferred style and allows a shift into clutchless manual mode on the move.

MITSUBISHI GALANT VR4 Type-S 4dr Saloon

Suspension is defo suspect.

Hey, what are these extended arches you keep going on about, got any photos?

On the subject of test drives....

We had to travel about 130 miles for our test drive, but we fell in love with the car and bought it two weeks later.

I got used to the tiptronic within minutes, and the only thing that worried me about the car, was when I put it in 5th there was not much turbo boost. LOL, little did I know it won't really boost in fifth unless you are doing about 130 mph :nono:

A test drive in the VR4 is really only to make sure there's no nasty smells/noises etc, you won't really get to see what the car will do till you buy it ;)

yeah - I think it must be 'cos it's got the lower value 'power handling' accessory, and the cheap replacement 'triptronic' gearbox INSERT INTO post VALUES (!).

Also - doesn't say the mileage.

I've seen a few higher mileage examples at under 7k over the last few months.

I've got a noisy engine and just bought mine from a Mitsubishi main dealer, it wasn't there when I first saw the car, more details about my drama in the "questions" section of this site.

Avoid avoid avoid!
Could be wrong.. but the discription I got from the first AutoTrader link was:

"1999 MITSUBISHI GALANT VR4 Type-S 4dr Saloon
'R' Reg, Twin Turbo Silver, 64,000, 280BHP, 4x4, Recaro/Mono Interior, Tiptronic, Climate Control, Long MOT, CAT1+Tracker, 17'' Alloys, AYC, FSH, Fast and Reliable www.badesha.com/vr4/. 62000 miles. £7900."

ERM... anyone else see something wrong there?

An R reg is not a 1999 year!
Why does it state 64,000 and then go on to say 62,000 at the end?
Type S isn't an auto box either.
Price for a 62,000 is quite low for a 200,000 mile slugger, and what it is.
And it isn't Mono it is MOMO.
It has wonky suspension.
And there is a piece missing from the front bumper, the middle bit? you know what I mean.

Don't touch it unless you want to rebuild it in a weeks time!
Could be wrong..

There are few dearer ones I've seen about when in search of my pride and noisy joy, but you looking at, at least £11,000.

Does look like a few discrepancies there, I agree with Brind - however I have a Type-S and mine has a tiptronic box ?
