View Full Version : 255's DO fit on a Legnum

Kenneth and I went to www.dswholesalers.com 's warehouse today and fitted some SSR Minerva mags to his car. The specs are 17x8 +37mm and 17x9 +37mm, with 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 tyres respectively.

The 255's fit on the rear just fine, they are only about 3mm away from the top suspension arm, but the wheel arch will need to be modified quite a bit.

The 235's are of course not a problem on the front at all, the wheels are almost the same as an EVO 7 mag, only that the EVO's are 1mm further in (38mm offset).

The last two pictures show the 255mm 9" set on the front of the car, as you can see they are possibly just a little too wide for the front, but they do just manage to fit on.

For some reason I can't see the attachment button, so I'll try and put some pics up in the reply to this message

Have you taken it out for a good old spin yet? - won't they rub under load?

He didn't actually buy the mags, we were just doing a test fit to see if 9" mags would actually work. We didn't even move the car at all with the mags on.

I am thinking about buying them, I can't justify it at the moment though considering I have my EVO 7 mags with GSD3's and only 2000km on them :)

They do look good, don't they? I prefer the 8" on the front though :)
