Any HKS dealer will sell or can obtain the replacement filter - but sometimes certain colours are hard to obtain e.g. green is always available, but red is much harder to obtain as they don't produce them that often apparantly

Don't think you can clean the HKS one Barry:

"The elements use a special oil to stop unwanted dirt particles from passing through the multi-layer polyurethane filter. Filters are thrown away when their lifetime has expired and are replaced with new filters, which are inexpensive and easy to replace."

I got a replacement filter from Carnossiuer of Bedford. The cost was about £30 but i'm sure any decent motor accessories shop will be able to sourceone for you for a lot less. AFAIK available in black green red blue and yellow

Hi all,
Sorry to hijack this thread,
But would it be better to have a filter that is not needed to be replaced?
£!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! saved.
Saying that, I have an "ORIGINAL BLITZ STAINLESS STEEL FILTER FOR
SALE " You can check details in my other thread for this with pics of the
filter.

But one big problem, I will be leaving for GOA - INDIA tomorrow for my
wedding and will be away for a month mabe a little more. So if anyone
decides they would want it you will have to wait till then.
So guys anyone interested drop me a message and will answer while in
INDIA or when I get back.
Cheers,
Gerald.

I cleaned my old green one with detergent and re-oiled with ITG dust retention oil for foam filters. Did this 3 times before it I needed to buy a new filter. my ITG oil was only £5.99 a tin and there's still enough left in the tin to do a few more.
