I've read that the tyresize is no problem for rubbing but since I have a Type V I do not have the wheel arch extensions.. My question is if the tires will be outside the fender (not very good looking and not approved in Sweden)

EVO8 wheels are 17"x8" Offset 38mm
And the tires are 235/45 17"

Dicky Tim and Bernmc both have those wheels on prefacelifts. Dicky Tim had rubbing on his, so he had his guards rolled and since then hasn't had a problem. I'm not sure if they stick outside of the arches though.

I have them on my car too, with the wheels arches and they still rub a little bit.

You'll have a problem if you're 4-up, have lowering springs and hit a few bumps at speed :D

HI Kalle,

The wheel arch extensions are purely cosmetic, the original arches underneath are not rolled or changed in any way.. It does, however, provide a visual difference in the width of the arch/car..

I have evo 8 235 45s on a 17inch rim and whilst I do not have any rubbing as my car is not lowered, the wheels do protrude very slightly... I actually like that look, its only by a few mm tho. I do have the wheel arch extensions and so the wheels on a car without wheel arch extensions they will appear to protrude even more...but still it is not by much...

Have a look at Bernmc's car in THIS (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10016) thread.. there is a picture from the side of the car...

Hope this helps...

Mine are EVO VII wheels - the EVO 8's are enkeis aren't they (2nd pic)?

Pic of my car's bum - note that I have 225 x 17's - not 235's

Kalle's q is about evo 8 wheels - which are the 2nd pic above. They look different from the multispoke VII wheels, although dimensions, offset etc are the same as bradc says

Got EVO8 Enkei's on mine (I know it's a saloon) 225/45 Eagle F1's. They fit more "snuggly" than standard 16" ones. Not lowered and no issues with rubbing.
