Does anyone who noticed my heat shield at Santa Pod be interested in one as I am talking to work about me being able to make a batch of them.

Please let me know if you are interested. Rough estimate of cost is £10 at most but will confirm later.

Here are some heat sheilds and heat insulation avaliable from Repco. INSERT INTO post VALUES (www.repco.co.nz). Not sure if they would ship to the UK...but the parts would be pretty cheap for you guys with the conversion!

bonsai boy
16-10-2003, 10:55 PM
At the moment I have 6 interested and I am only able to do a batch of 10 at the moment. The price is going to be £10 each but that does not include postage if needed.

Will make a start but am going to Japan in November so will not have everything finished until near end of November. Will confirm when shields are ready.

Please confirm that you definitely want one of the shields. First 10 will get one.

We will sort payment out when I am able to send them to you.

Cheers for the interest everyone.

I need a favour. I am the proud owner of a 2000 INSERT INTO post VALUES (W) V6 Sport and I would like to get a HKS Super Flow. I understand that they are standard fitment on most of the VR4s here. I don't know if the fitment is the same for the V6 Sport.

Would one of you be kind enough to supply a photo of the inlet on the air flow sensor. My car has a hexagonal intake to the sensor which is causing me problems in finding an off-the-shelf part to fit.

HELP!! :Ponder: :Eyecrazy:

BrainG,

I had a look at the pictures but I need to know the shape of the connector with the HKS filter removed. Its the shape of the join on the inside of the connector that I need, so if any of you have an excuse to remove your HKS Super Flow and have a camera handy..... I would be much obliged.

He sold the usual array of car related devices, IE central locking kits, gear locks etc. but , the 'auto arming pin lock' was the new product I was to promote. at the time you could buy normal pin locks, [ manual ] but not auto ones. can I take it you all know what pinlocks are ??
The auto arming locks do exactly what it says on the tin !! select reverse, or park when you exit the vehicle, lock your doors, & BANG !! 5 seconds later, the pin engages automatically locking you transmission in the pre-determined position.
The pin, once armed is totally imovable, due to both its location, [ under the transmission tunnel ] & its construction. [ steel, titanium, iridium, etc ]
The gear locks [ one of which I have fitted to my van,] are also the mutts nuts !! far superior the the tacky one's you can buy over here for around £200 +. & I could have bought them for a fraction of that price, [ less than 10% ] & they only take about an hour to fit yourself. ! the gear locks are fitted as standard to virtually every new car in SA, & as far as is known......without having access to police records. NOT ONE CAR, has been stolen, by breaking/ bypassing these locks. dont get me wrong........ there is a pretty good chance you'll get your car nicked in SA, but they cant bypas these locks.
I set up 2 companies, a web site, [ well I didn't, cus I'm thick. ] & then let the whole thing pass me by, due to a combination of other business comitments, & pure idleness !!

:Cry1: :Cry1:
& before you ask............. YES !! the Johannesburg police chief did have flame throwers coming out from the underside of his car. AND.. you can get them for your briefcase as well !!:nono: :nono:

Cool!!

I still think my trusty footwell bear trap is a wonderful invention.. not only can you catch the person attacking your car you also get the advantage of watching them squirm in agony while you laugh sadistically while having the option to kick ten bells out of them.

On special occasions you could even attach their testicles to the ignition coil for a laugh.

Haven't checked the original piping as you know I never had one but the air shooting up the Pipercross really is efficient!
