Mmmm. Maybe interested, depending on what they end up looking like. If they look like those FTO ones, then no ta - I don't think that joint where the two banks come together will flow very well.

I would have thought something like this would be better:

Option 3 of course is that I'm still considering getting a Kakimoto downpipe for my Legnum - and you could copy that. I think that was about £170, but then it's got to be shipped from Japan....

Quite cheap too, id say £200 max delivered. No TAX from Takakaira and kakimoto are a good name....

Im as per Kieran on this.... id be up for it if the design was as per that gto style.

The thing is though, we dont have any pics of what the kakimoto pipe looks like.

Hmm, good price. Also prefer the shallow 'V' design for flow.

I've not really looked under the engine bay much since I got the car. How easy is it to get to these for swapping over?

vrfan it is a case of lift car take of under tray (if still on)undo the to bolts to the cat these are normally a right bugger to undo but with some heat they do come of, next undo the 4 bolts that hold it to the turbos (need long socket 17 i think it is and extension)
remove and replace in opposite way.

Just a few Q's Rich. What sort of gains could you expect from this? Will it make much of a difference if the rest of the exhaust system is standard, back box etc?

Could be interested if its at the right time. Got a holiday in Vegas I should be saving for. /pan

if you look at the standard ones there is 2 sharp 90deg bends this is not good for flow.
these pipes will cleen the flow.

so will help but not masive gains.

I'll have a set please Rich

So long as they are the free'er flowing type as discused earlier in this thread , the V type.

It looks Great and will tie up with the new zorst I am planning

Quick question?? Roughly on the same topic,

----Can you get a free flow cat for the VR4
----or a de cat and if so where does the lambda sensor go in the de cat version??

Any answer's much appreciated , sorry for diverting the thread slightly.

I may be slightly usefull for this one:

----Can you get a free flow cat for the VR4: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15493

----or a de cat (see link above) and if so where does the lambda sensor go in the de cat version??: I believe the lambda is further down the pipe and has nothing to do with the decat itself. Decat affects gas emissions, lambda reads O2. Or something like that.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. If not, then wooohoooo. I've been of some use. /pan

Thanks for the link Funkstar

I will chk further on the sports cat, cauz @ my last m.o.t emmisions were close to the limit and don't want to make them to much worse.

But if the sensor's not into the cat then I might hv somewhere I can get one.
I just thought I saw a sensor in the top of my cat the otherday maybe not or its somthing different? (Sorry about the thread hi-jak Rich )
