oh right. I think my bulbs may be different to yours as the ebay add says '97-00, implies they may of changed after 2000 to 2003.

Its the same headlight unit used in 97-03. I have the 2000 Sport and I swapped the headlight unit with a 98 V6-24, with the exact same bulbs in it. As far as I am aware they are the same :hat:

you need to remove the grill, and unbolt as much as you can. then to get the wee bugger on the side panel you need to unscrew the indicator lens from the main unit, then eventually get the whole thing out.

The side light bulb holder requires a set of plyers though!

EDIT// n13lpm: the bulbs are very good in contrast to standard. pure white light. the side light bulbs have a tendancy to change colours though, from bright blue through white green and finishing up red. they are now yellow. Myself and MJR were amused as both our lights did exactly the same thing.

H1 for high beam, H7 for dip beam.

You don't need to remove the grille if you have nimble (strong) fingers.

Never had one go. Anyway, my car is a '98 so long pre-facelift and so probably a different bulb type for that anyway. The headlamps are the same though.

PS Don't trust halfraud's books. They have the stop/tail light down as a 382 (which is a single-filament bayonet) when it's a 7443 (dual-filament wedge).

Eh? Nooo! Talk about making work for yourself!
The sidelights (small parking light bulb under main bulb) are a pig to get out, but you dont need to take the grille off (or remove the headlight!)!
The worst side to do is the passenger side as the battery limits the space. From memory, get a pair of long nosed pliers to squeeze the clip together and then gently lever the clip out with a long bladed screwdriver.
To get the main bulbs out pop off the rubber cover and release the spring clips (it helps to disconnect the wiring first) and the bulbs should come out easily.
For the indicators just remove the whole bulb holder by rotating through 90 degrees and pull out.

How about the fog light mate? I guess i would have to lift the front of the car upto get behind the light..

Erm, front fogs, yeah...
Get underneath the front bumper and have a fiddle (try the passenger side first as ther's more room to move about under there).
I had mine completely out at the weekend due to excessive corrosion on the lamp mounting frames. But as you can see from my avatar, i have different lights on the front from yours (only the 2000 sports had the twin fog and driving lamps, newer post facelifts have a single fog only).
Basically, have a look at the back of the lamp, there will be some sort of plastic cover which will either pull off or twist off revealing the back of the lamp. You may need to undo a small phillips screw which holds the bulb in, or the earth wire.
Or there may be a spring clip, similar to your headlight bulbs, which holds the bulb in place.
OR...
You may need to remove the whole foglamp assembly to swap the bulb over....

Thanks mate.

il have to jack it up, my cars now lowered and its soo low i cant work behind the fogs without a jack. And i got a slow power steering fluid leak from the front bottom pipe so il probly do it all this weekend.

Myself and MJR actually found this to be a relatively easy and straight forward task, far easier than trying to squeeze the plyers and get a grip on the light. I guess its whatever way you feel best at doing.

As for the fog light, I cant remember how it comes out but it isnt hard. There is a metal frame behind it which needs unscrewed and then you can just pull the bulb out.

Trouble with that method (granted it is easier than swearing in the dark for half an hour like i did first time i tried) is you stand the chance of screwing up the headlight alignment.
