Imobilizer as standard?

Hi!
Has any of our cars from Japan got imobilizers? I have a 1999 facelift Legnum Type V and I am about to fit an alarm to it.
Has anyone done an aftermarket install of an imobilizer? (hmm is it spelled right? Perhaps immobilizer is correct?)

Ralliart VR4s will most likely be fitted with a Mitsubishi Elite III security system (its really a cobra CAT1 alarm and immobiliser)

is there a small round black thing on the right hand side of the dash - just below the instrument binnacle? if so thats the manual overide for the immobiliser


independant imported VR4s could have any alarm / immobiliser installed depending on the owner / insurance requirements at the time.....
