Show me your box!

I want ideas for a cold air feed and an air box for use with cone filters.

Any pics/words of wisdom appreciated. (other than "you should have got a panel filter!!!")

I thought of drilling out a circle in the space to the right of the battery for a feed. Sort of opposite to where the windscreen washer bottleneck comes up, if you get my drift. Or should i just use the original letterbox scoop and feed that into the box?


The box will be made from sheet alloy. I'll also need to move the battery to the extreme right for best flow, then chop out the battery box plastic divider.

be warned if you drill a hole where the battery is.

renforce it. i will crush very easily in a crash.

you can see in my gallery picks where my hole was... i assume thats where you want yours???

It is far better if you move the battery to the boot, you will have a lot more room that way. Very few people have a proper airbox, but lots of people have run extra feeds up to the filter, have a look at mpau009's car for some pics of this.
