Thought I'd share the fun I'm having. Well, not too much fun, the lovely Mary Kate is dead, but Ashley is filling the gap quite nicely so far.

So got her stripped and she almost ready to take her last ride. Ashley is looking fairly tidy. Just working out what to do with the Transmission conversion.

Zedy1 has done the auto to manual conversion,

Just had a quote today to get Ashley converted using Mary-Kate's 5 speed in Whangarei. $1400-$1800. They havn't done a Legnum before but said they've done plenty of conversions.

Their favourite pastime when they're finished is to get one of the wives to drive it around to a car yard and get it valued just to see if the dealer can pick up that it's been converted. They reckon they havn't failed yet.

Would've been interesting to do it myself. But I can imagine that it wouldn't be a nice sort of interesting, especially without a proper garage.

probabilly more worth it to get the conversion, than a auto rebuild.

ive heard the auto boxes cost upwards off 1k just to rebuild.

Well, they're auto specialists, so I think the plan of attack will be to get them to drop Ashley's auto and check it out/quote blah blah blah.

Then I'll decide which option is best money wise, and if I fall in love with Ashley the same as I did with Mary-Kate.

Would much rather a manual, and ups the resell options just a touch. (kinda thinking of recouping my losses and starting over, avoiding road islands along the way/pan
