Those turbos look very small and look similar to TD03's. Because they aren't changing the manifolds and things at all, I would assume that the turbos wouldn't give much extra flow over the stock ones. You should be able to push out 380hp from the stock turbos anyway.

The rest of their products sound great though, especially the front LSD.

Its expensive stuff m8... but all looks good to me. Id leave the items you can get here cheaper... but they do sell some pipes and other bits not available to us.

The company doesnt have online shop capability, only phone and fax...

however!

Im interested in the turbo kit, the ecu remap and a few of the other more reasonably priced items.

its all specific stuff though and they seem to know a fair bit about the vr4.

Not seen too many places in NZ that would make these and to this quality or if they could, at a price that mortals could afford./Grrr /wall

But I could be wrong............. it's happened before........:afro:

That's not to say these ones from Japan are cheap. At the moment, with our dollar falling through the floor, they are something like $1400NZD plus freight/Grrr

Mine were custom made (not equal length) and lifted my performance by 11kw ATW at around 6000rpm, I can't complain with that!

Brad.......how much did yours cost then? Also where were they made (and fitted)? Were they the same basic shape as the standard downpipe only with a larger diameter then?

Kenneth........how much improvement do you reckon the equal length downpipes made? Have you had the car on the dyno since they were fitted to get a figure on the improvement or have you changed more than just the downpipes?

My whole setup was $1500, from the downpipes the whole way back, including both mufflers and installing some springs I already had. I think Pitstop charges about $500-600 for the downpipes alone. If you look in my Gallery there is a pic or two of them.

On Kenneth's dyno graph they probably made about 15kw differance, but again that was with a complete exhaust system just like mine. One thing to note is that he had problems with spark plugs in his first run and it mightn't be a fair comparison.

I want to know why it would be better to have the downpipe in equal lengths? Is it not better to make the pipes as straight as possible? That downpipe looks like it would have more resistance in air flow compared to a custom made that takes the closest/straightest way down.

Will have mine custom made in stainless 3" next week for about £200 :D

I would say between 15kW and 20kW at the wheels. As brad said, the original graph wasn't so great as I had stuffed plugs... but It looked to be heading up to around 160kw. Dont forget that my boost control was completly standard also.

But thats not the whole story... first off, the turbos are boosting a lot quicker, hardly any turbo lag at all. Depending on gear, can get 10psi at 2500rpm.
Also, I have to say it just sounds really really nice.

Equal lengths means equal pressure up to the point where they join. So you then have equal back pressure to each bank of the "V". This is why the sound of the exhaust changes.

Straight doesn't matter so much, flow is more important for power.
