Just fitted mine today, took 30 seconds and needed no screws or alterations to the car either. They just clip over the centre console and there is a tab on the bottom that you bend up under the bottom of the trim. Excuse the dust  .

Mine only cost £8.00 including postage from fleabay (not bad as the RRP is £30) I have added the link to a current auction but he relists them every week. You can also specify the colour (mine was black). Not a bad bit of kit if you get one cheap you just need to get a holder from somewhere and attach it.

link to e bay auction here. (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mitsubishi-Galant-97-Leatherette-Leather-Console_W0QQitemZ9734188462QQcategoryZ1498QQssPage NameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Could be useful for some of you.

Ummm, when you check the ebay link it looks as if the black 'footrest' next to the gear stick is simply a 'platform' on which to stick or attach your own phone kit.

I assume the phone holder next to the radio is his old system?

Daaaaaaaam thats a big phone holder. I think you should get yourself one of those 80's brick phones to match.

Have a gander at this site, www.proclipusa.com , expensive but custom fit to your vehicle and very compact.

Not sure if they have one for the 8G Galant but I just got a sweet looking setup for my Nissan Terrano to hold my ipod & GPS.

The second pic looks like it's a visual deflector to stop you from perving at your passengers hot legs! :P
...And ohhh seat warmers...I prefer mine....it's called an @ss! /haz

Blimey, right the huge dwarf footrest/plastic brick attachment is the phoneholder, you just need to attach a cradle depending on whether you are using a phone/PDA/ etc. my old phone holder is pictured on the dash but doesnt hold the phone.

Ok I realise its not subtle, but I thought it was ok for £8. the proclips are better but pricey.

Yes they are heated seats, great on a cold morning, and useful to use the line

"Im afraid the heated seats are on permanently, you'll justhave to hitch your skirt up a bit if it gets too hot"

got a pic of the holder with your phone etc on the pad?

quite fancy one of these dwarfs foot rests - but not sure if it would stick out too far with my phone cradle on the pad.

currently got a bracket that fits in behind the dash fascia but its a bit fugly, had my moneys worth tho - been in 4 galants now ;)

Well rich, to be honest I dont really like it. Its ok if youve got hands free that kicks in automatically but i have to push a button on my phone to activate it.

Ive just bought one that suctions on the screen. So its for sale. make me an offer and I will post it up to you.

Its cheap enough to give it a go.

I agree it looks very large :speechles

Wouldn't a good piece of sticky backed velcro on the console and the back of the phone do the job
