how often should you change your sparkplugs and which ones should i get (and from where)

ive a v6-24

Look in your handbook. That tells you what is replaced at what service. I'm fairly sure that the V6 is the same as the 4 pot, wtih 27000 mile intervals on the plugs. I'm going to change mine sooner than that because, frankly, they're ****ed already (probably something to do with the engine oil from that service also being totally screwed by 7000 miles). Iridium ones can be obtained at perfectly reasonable prices from www.sparkplugs.co.uk and they should last more than 27k, especially if you run your engine on nice expensive fluids and give it a good blast once in a while (and some optimax or fuel system treatments).

Nah... the V6-24 uses platinum plugs, and the interval is 54,000 miles. That's why the 54K and 108k services are so expensive - big service, plus cambelt, drive belts and plugs!

Yes the v6 is 54,000 miles. get the plugs from camskill its the cheapest place I found and he did me free postage as a club vr4 member. :happy:

thanks guys

i will check in the morning if the plugs were done at the big service and yes it was expensive, although i only recall the cambelt being replaced (docs should tell me)
