it will cost around $200 to get a bumper painted (i had a few quotes when i was gonna get my kit painted) and that was the cheapest

I don't know of too many pearl white facelift ones that might be for sale. 'william' has one, but he isn't likely to change any time soon.

pearly is more expensive then that gly...your pretty much got no choice then to get it painted, if you can find a pearl white one at the wreckers its prolly gonna have a lil damage unless u dont mind that. i had a piss hard time finding silver front fenders so just got them repainted

yea its for my dads car(i drive a primera) so he will more than likely have to get it repainted but im just hoping that we might have some luck...

this is the current bumper with a little bit of damage

looking at its current condition it doesnt look like that little bit will hold for much longer.

You may want to try Exclusive Panel and Paint on Rosebank Rd, Avondale...they've done some very impressive work on a few CVR4 cars and are highly recommended.

As for this...

doznt look exactly stock...

is it fibre glass??? go get a $30 fibre glass kit from repco...
grind it back a little and build it up...

if its plastic take it to aplastc welder... wouldnt cost more than $100 to get that welded..

then just add price of paint,

Did he buy his car at the end of 2003? Was the old plate on it 'tunes'? I think I know the car, it used to be parked in an industrial area in penrose quite a bit last year. It is a really nice looking car, I would get that bumper fixed, it isn't a stock one at all.

yeap bradc this was the ex tunes. the car has a few mods but nothing great. the front bumper is fibre glass and it will get fixed up as its quite a nice bumper but a little impractical and limits your driving a lot!! so we are looking for a standard one as it will be a bit more practical hahaha

Yeah that front bumper is quite low, I love the shape of it though. I would just get it repaired and never drive over any lumps or any steep driveways ever again :)

there doznt look to be alot off diff between the hight of you current and stock bumper...

is the car lowerd?? maybe better to have it raised if your worried about it breaking again.

bradc

It is fairly low, here are a couple of pics from when tunes owned it

i'm sure that the factory bumper would give a bit more clearance then the current and make driving alot easier. i think the car has been lowered a little bit but not extremely.

and the car hasnt changed at all since it had the plates TUNES on it.

That bumper does sit lower than the factory.....easy enough to tell just by how the side skirts line up. Must be a good inch and abit difference.

There you go guys, you can swap that bumper with springie's bumper, both bumpers are white and you both get what you want!

haha nah at the moment the front bumper will be repaired and kept. just need a stock one for practicality

lol good try /Devil5 If that were my bumper i wouldn't swap it either. It probably wouldn't be practical on my car at the moment anyway unless i wound it up a bit.

that bumper came on the car from over in japan. not sure what brand/style it is though..

bradc

I've seen that style about 5 times now on cars in Japan. It seems to be a fairly new kit, it obviously uses the foggies from the facelift bumper, so it must have been made after 1999 or 2000 sometime.

I want to get one of these bumpers too for my 96 VR4. Anyone got the 'numbers' from the facelift model. I have a contact who said he will try and get me one from Japan cheap if I can get the numbers

bradc

mine is EC5W-0200998. It is the dark purple colour, and the bumper may be coded for the colour. I know a couple of other external parts are.
