The best new pics are in the gallery ^^^^, I've attached another couple in here. The piping looks amazing, all the welds are very well done.

Basically at this stage they just need to do the tuning and everything will be all done :D I might even have it back this weekend.

The wof will have expired in the last few days, Gary is going to do the wof for me, as well as an oil change for me because it has taken so long.

It does look good though :D

Looks awesome:2thumbsup :pimp2:

Have they made any progess on the airbox? I'm still keen to see it (how do the pods sit with the piping that close?).

I think we'll definately need to have a club meet/run when it finally gets rolling:thinking: :afro:

mpau, they are only going with a single airfilter unfortunately. I did want two, but short of moving the fuse box there was no way that was going to happen! We definately need to have a meet soon as well.

Steve, I bet the person who did the piping didn't have a broke wrist :)

Zentac, hopefully soon! You can see the ecu's there, as you know the stock trans and engine ecu's are staying. The Autronic will control everything, the stock engine ecu is there just to send info to the transmission ecu.

Barry, it was daylight, just a little dark in the corner of the workshop the car was in, the bonnet was blocking all the light :) I'll have it back soon anyway, so I'll take more pics then.

Shady - thanks I like it, the curves look a lot better than the in your face evo style ones IMHO

Booyah - haven't got around to the turbos yet, that will be next year.

Uc - did you give Glen the usb cables? I think I'll go down there tomorrow to check he is hooking it up right :)

You won't quite be able to do the same as me, my MAF has been removed, so your one will need to be a little bit differant to my setup

hahaha... good things take time. so it must be a good thing. or is it?

bradc
16-03-2007, 07:11 AM
It's a manual facelift with Recaro's, Brembo's, Momo wheel, Sunroof, you've seen the engine bay and the exhaust, of course it's a good thing :D

how much of the original Y did they use?

got any better/newer daylight pics?

bradc
16-03-2007, 07:42 AM
basically all of the Y pipe was used because they looked at the size of the turbo outlet and decided there was no point changing it.

no better pics, all of them have been taken with the car in the workshop.

Gly

so they just gave it a polish then?

so you know if its mild steal or stainless under all the paint...

what cooler size did they use? 2.5" or 3" inlets?
and what type? (tube & finn or bar & plate?)

bradc

I'd imagine it is mild steel, not sure about the intercooler, but I think it has 3" outlets
