video clip of the noise my steering is making

here is a clip of the noise my stearing is making.

every time i turn my wheel there is there really funny noise, it sounds like a grinding type of noise crossed with a darth vader type breathing.

i have taken it to a garage and they said it was making the noise when they first drove it, they put it on the ramp and the noise had gone. they said that they looked at the stearing and the suspention and there was no problems.

for about 3 days the noise had gone but now low and behold its back.

anyone have any thoughts??

Well, I guess that confirms it ....... you have NO problem with the steering as it isn't making any sound!

ohh everyone's a critic. there will be a new thread in a mo that does have a clip with sound.

I take it you have checked the power steering fluid level. I've got a leak on one of the pipes and when the level starts to get low I get a "groaning" noise which stops after a couple of minutes.

yeah i have been checking and unchecking every 5 minutes, lol..

however when i get this clip up and running you may be able to tell me if its the same sound.

also this noise does not go away in a couple of minutes, it never goes away.

Yes ......... but the pump wasn't buggered! Had two of them and both were OK.:speechles
