Might have the opportunity to get my hands on a fair few ex-use (in cars for a couple of months, all still in near new cond.) Navman GPS units.
Not sure the model and/or pricing yet. Will post more info when I can.
Just a loose EOI from you guys as to if I should say "I'll take a couple" or "yeah I'll take the lot" :)
(I think there's a couple of dozen that will be available)
I have a funny feeling they might be these: http://www.navman.com/Navman/Templates/productinformation____24428.aspx
However don't quote me on that, they may be the 520s
Oh and yes, they'll be legit :P
/pan
im keen for one, i always get lost

Hi, I'd be interested but would obviously depend on price, condition and whether they come loaded with NZ software etc.
Cheers

holy ****, wellp, I'll be definitely trying to get a few of them then.
Yes they have NZ software/maps on them, and they all work :P
There may be some need of hardwiring them straight to 12V or something but will let you know.

So does mine, but their staff discount isn't that good apparently.

Got an email back from the guy, he's waiting on some power supplies for them to come in, and he's dead keen to get rid of them.
Hopefully he'll get back to me with a price in mind soon.
Will definitely angle the 'bulk buy'

I can get cost plus 5% only problem is I work with marine electronics and we havn't yet branched out into the land based market. Fat lotta good I am then aye!

Right....................any news regarding these yet. :inquisiti
Part of the reason I ask is because, interestingly enough, in the latest Dick Smith catalogue we got in the mail, they are advertising "Refurbished" Navman units for sale.
Could these be the same, or worse, have we missed out. /Grrr
Anyway, see below for a scan of the DSE ad.
Any news would be good as I'm thinking maybe I'll get one of these from them.
Wouldn't want to get one then find the deal through here was way cheaper. :furious3:
or wait and then find we can't get them here and miss out. /Hissy
Cheers.

I haven't heard anything back from the dude.
I was waiting on him to get back to me, I guess it's possible he's flicked them all off the DSE. He certainly had enough of them, and is well known enough to pull a few strings to get them to DSE. *shrug*
I'll flick him another email next week
