Dirty thoughts mostly... but thats another story.

I was planning on going on a nice long drive, possibly to do something wether it be hot pools, bbq or something else I dont mind... open to ideas. Obviously the cheaper overall the more accessable to other members.

Could always go down south, around coromandel or something similar, awesome roads around there :D will probably need new tyres after though

You won't find much 98 on the Coromandel .... and you're gonna need lots...

I'm covering the Gregg Todd Memorial Rally the next Saturday, you should organise a trip to follow that around. Only just down the Maramarua area, Te Kauwhata servicing. Get to see some other fast cars losing it on gravel and tarmac. Plenty of sausies at service park, chase Rally cars around the roads between stages.

haha, last month I did coromandal and back on 1 tank of gas! (was driving the olds around... /haz)

I would advise filling up at Bombay, then take it a bit easy down the main highway until the windys come up... then have some fun.

I think going to hamilton might just be a little too much, I like the idea of going to waihi, then to kopuarahi the most myself (kopuarahi is just on the auckland side of the kopu bridge)

Well, that gives you enough time to fly over to NZ, hire a car, wring it out on the august 6 run, and then fly home it time for your birthday :D

Personally I don't usually bother going very fast on the straights, but the corners will be pretty quick. So it really depends on what she prefers. Of course you are free to drive at your own pace.

depends really, if I have been driving a bit dumb around corners and someone saw me, I am sure as hell not stopping :P

but yeah, should be able to let people catch up at specific points. might be a good idea to stop at the end of each "stage" for people to catch up

We don't go too fast, we have fun around the corners though. In particular I want to have fun from thames to kuaotunu, I know those roads very well and I can definately see myself having some good times on those corners!

I still want to do it on as little petrol as possible, so I won't be going too fast.

Looks like we will have a XR6 Turbo and a RX7 Bat along for the drive :D

Should be interesting. Though don't think they will be a walk-over, especially not the XR6, as it will be a little modified (at least suspension) and driven by the guy that taught me how to drive and ride around corners :)
