almost worth buying for spare parts in the club. I'll put about $800 into it if I can have the gearbox, and the small foglights.

Rossco - is the car actually for sale or has it already been sold?

It was offered as a kind of buy now...so I would assume it is still for sale, It has been on there for the past four or so weeks, bidding starting at about $4,000.

I quite like the alloys...do't think they would go well with my Pearl car though.

Reason I joined this board was because i am looking at importing a VR4 Legnum into NZ early next year. Im actually in the UK right now on my OE, but planning to head home around January.
Is this the kind of price im looking at landed in NZ? Or is this an extra extra cheap price?
I definatly want a black one, manual, less than 100k km, and preferably facelift, so post 97?

99-02 for a facelift mate. Black manual cars are as rare as rocking horse poo

Ok so possibly not a facelift then I guess... but i dont mind waiting a few months for the right one.. the longer I wait the less I will have to borrow to buy it haha.

If you have to borrow....... you cant afford it.

Not really... I've bought all my cars that way, including my old Libero which cost $11k to buy (and spent a fair bit of coin repairing/upgrading as well). Never had a problem with the debt and always paid them off almost as fast as if I didnt buy the car and saved up the money over the same period of time.

Not having a go or anything, but it's slightly naive to tell someone they can't afford something without knowing the full picture :)

cheers

LOL. When I was living in London I watched a program called "Spend it like Bekham". A doco all about some brits spending (read borrowing) habits.

I couldn't believe some of the debt these guys got themselves into. Like 10 credit cards with debt up in the 6 figures.

I always wondered why every second tv ad in the UK was from a company doing debt consolodation until that point.

Oh, and by the way: /Hijack

That is pretty cheap, normally would be $5500-8000 for a pre-facelift (less if high k's or bad condition) plus, $8500 plus for a 98 or later facelift. Prices fluctuate a lot though and occassionally real bargains come up.

Manuals are hard to come by, especially if you only want one colour.
