Hi y'all,

Question for you....are all VR4's imports?

Basically yes they are
Some insurance places class VR4's as grey imports even thought most are not

There is a mix of Grey Imports and Official Mitsubishi UK imports.

Mitsubishi UK imported the VR-4 from late 1999 till about 2001, I believe.

Mitsubishi UK imports have air-con systems that are mapped for the cooler UK climate, are fully undersealed from new INSERT INTO post VALUES (unlike most JDM VR-4s) and are fitted with a cold climate pack - This includes a heavy duty battery and alternator to cope with the colder winters we have over here. They are also fitted with a Thatcham Category 1 alarm/immobiliser and the handbooks and notices are supplied in English.

It's interesting to note that the 'UK' VR-4s are built to the same spec as the Japan VR-4s. The changes I've outlined above were performed by Ralliart UK once they had been shipped over here, not at the factory.

Have today agreed to buy Il Dottore's INSERT INTO post VALUES (Phil's) VR4, pics/spec as supplied in the for sale section.

What a stonking car, the acceleration is awesome and I love that tiptronic box.

If I have one complaint it's the seats, full leather is very nice but they ain't very grippy. But that is a minor gripe it's a great car.

Phil has to fix a couple of things, so hope to take her over in a week or so.

Have to find £15 to join the club properly now :-)

Congrats ReggieK
Nice one mate

Yeah the leather seats are not kidney huggers so you tend to slid around a bit
But if you use your left foot on the rest peddle it will help especially on roundabouts

You wait till you sit in the car for hours stuck in traffic
The seats are great for this reason alone no numb arse after 2 hours driving :D
