saw this stuff (available from your local Halfrauds) recommended on the 350z-uk forums, so thought I'd give it a go:

Both the Leggie and the Z's exhausts were in a state - the Z in particular had a hard crust of black stuff stuck to it. (The 'before' pics of the z below were taken after a mammoth cleaning session last weekend - I used everything I could find on those exhausts - degreaser, citrus degreaser, meguirs scratch X etc etc.).

The Z Before:

and after autosol:

And the VR4 Before:

And after autosol:

...Highly recommended!

Just had a scan of fleabay, and you can get it for even cheaper there (Halfrauds was just under £6)

Been using Auto Sol for some years now :2thumbsup

But if you don't have any to hand !! T-Cut for Mettalic Paint work does the job also..

T-Cut for Mettalic Paint work also does a great job of restoring damaged CD's and DVD's back to working order :iloveyou:

Yeah used it since I had my MkII Escort with chrome bumpers. Does bring the exhaust etc up nice with a bit of patience and elbowgrease

used autosol for years on bike bits... though it does kinda 'oil up' so you have to polish regularly but on aluminium etc its great..

It was once indeed called Solvol Autosol. Only downside is that it is slightly abrasive and too much enthusiastic use (Kieran !!) can waer through thin chrome.

I have not tried the Mothers stuff lsited on Ebay but that sounds a reasonable alternative.
