Major Change for the Evening.

Due to the issues several people are experiencing, I am going to turn off all of the fancy coding I have installed (world map, uploader, pager etc), and run a default Template (skin) to see if this resolves the issue.

Im am sceptical this is the cause, as I have made no changes recently, and the site was running fine until 1 week ago. However to further the investigations this step is required..

Ok mate here goes:

1: Sending PM from drop down menu under username - now works :2thumbsup
2: Replying to a PM using quote - now works :2thumbsup
3: Pics - still not loading full pic in new window
4: Your avatar - still flashes a black bit as it spins around

Ah. hang on a second; now when I click the back button I get a blank screen although refresh will bring up the correct screen.

I haven't had problems with unusual code appearing like some of the other guys.

I have had probems with the bottom parts of pages being grey blocks and the reply box and options missing. Also odd chunks of partial HTML code.

Now new posts (like this one) are fine.

In existing posts the grey box seems to have gone, there are still no reply options and the odd HTML is still there.

Not sure if this will help but.............

5 post limit seems to have gone, though I'm still using 'hybrid' default thread display at the moment so I can access all posts within longer threads.

Your avatar is now not glitching for me even though for Spirit it is......weird. Go figure that.

Haven't tried or used PMs during this whole affair so can't comment on their working or not.

Now the less than good news..............Images that open in a new window still aren't fully downloading as before.

Menus with dropdowns still not working as before.

Overall some fixes but still some major problems too. Hope this feed-back may help isolate the problem.

I just closed IE and logged in using FireFox its running at 0% :speechles:speechles

Memory usage is at 121,060k and staying constent

I have 5 tabs running inc RSS feed and a self refreshing site

Let me revise my previous post regarding the 5 post cut-off. Things have improved and in some threads I can see up to about 7 or 8 posts before random html code appears and the footers etc go missing.

Sorry for the delay in reply...really hard to see new posts at the mo.

appreciate all the thought and work going into resolving the problems but there is still something rotten in the state of denmark.....


using ie6 and aol, wanadoo or bt

using ie6 I cannot get anything to work at all unless I disable Norton Internet Security

dont know if this helps or just confuses things???

Back at work, my PM issue has returned.

So the only time I had full access to my PM's is when the site was in basic skin mode.
