how do the rep points work?

I've got 107 points total, which is 3 green things from Kieran, Brunty and Barry, then I've got 3 grey things from flipperds, cheese and kush.bex

I remember another thread saying new users couldn't post positive feedback, so thats why I only received grey things from those 3 guys.

Your reputation points/green dots obviously increase as people give you positive reputation. The number of green dots are achieved when you reach certain points amounts. I will not give away the different levels for green dots but an example would be:

1 dot = 10pts, 2 dots = 20pts etc etc.

The other factor is the amount of "clout" the person giving you the reputation has. For example, if you get positive rep from me today you would get 57 points, from Wildcards 20 points, etc. This is based on their own reputation points.

thus, the green bar will go up something like this.

1. 10pts
2. 50pts
3. 100pts
4. 200pts
5. 400pts

well mine changed at about 100 to go from 1 green thingee to 2 green thingees. Now Brunty has 229 points, so to get to 3 green thingees it must be 200 or maybe 220.
