Looking to upgrade to a GEMS ECU. I need the ECU pin layout for a '97 Legnum Tiptronic. Does anyone have access to this?

Thats for the 4g63 engined VR-4's. Same engines in the EVO's. Maybe get the wiring layout from the Mitzy dealer?

You wont have a prayer of getting it from a Mitsi Dealer. I phoned almost every one in the country to see if they had a wiring manual for the VR4 when dropping my engine in and none of them did. Eventually we *cough* "aquired" one. Which Nick at NR AutoSports is now the owner of. Give him a ring he may be able to sort you out with a GEMS ECU, I think he does more work with autotronics though.

The wiring manual isnt quite as simple as a list of pins and what they are used for you have to trace each wire through several pages, which we did. If it helps almost all the pinouts are the same as the FTO GPX. A wiring diagram for that can be downloaded form my website.

Thanks, I'll give them a try. Your'e right about Mitsi, Humming Bird Tech passed me over to Colt Car Company Tech who passed me to Customer Relations who refered me back to Humming Bird and so on. Significant gains as well as good support are available with Gems. However, no one has installed on 6 cyl. VR4. I've heard good things about Autotronic but not sure about level of support in this country.

It may not have been autotronics now you mention it, thats the auz one isnt it, but have a word with him, he does lots of works on evo`s for the MLR owners.

Once hes done yours he can then do mine :D
