ive got a spec stage 3+ - great clutch, it helped get my 6.8  (but the old clutch was doing odd things) second 0-60 run in J-Tuner to 5.4 :2thumbsup at santapod raceway (without high boost) :pimp2:

Im having a problem with it just now, as its glazed, but thats down to it being a high spec clutch, and me having to ride the clutch to reverse my car up my drive, and onto the main road.

If i was to get it again, i would... as now i have the understanding of how to get out of my drive with least strain on the engine/clutch..

I have just fitted a helix autosport uprated clutch - hard to tell yet how good it is as i'm bedding it in but seems ok

another guy on here used them as well

The Vee had an RPW one but I think he has changed the pressure plate back to the original

search for clutch sure to find some more info

I can confirm that with minimal mods, Barry's car makes most other VR-4s look rather silly!! That clutch, whilst a bit 'tetchy' seems to be excellent at making the car quick!!:speechles

mardis gras will supply 2 clutch types for vr4 and my understanding is that they are helix ones

If it is for road use then the price is £487.61 plus VAT for the 3 part kit. (384 lbs feet)

If it is for race/rally use then the price is £544.19 plus vat for the 3 part kit. (474 lbs feet)

Availability would be 7-10 days from order.

Im in a bit of a quandry as Im unsure with which one to get my last dyno said that the car is running 334 ft/bs of torque I have intercooler to put in yet and good knows what else is it worth me buying the more expensive one? am i ever likely to get figures of 400+lbs of torque?

I would be very suprised if the 384ft/llb one could not cope with close to 400 , the standard mitsi one will do above 300 ft/llb - I think that the bigger one will be too
tough for normal driving .
