One of the strange thing that happens.
Under decent acceleration the hand brake light on the dash comes ON./Grrr
Now I presume the switch has just come loose, BUT WHERE IS IT?
Answers in a reply Please....

If i'm correct the hand brake light is also the brake warning light , have you checked the fuild level in the brake cylinder . I had an issue a while ago where the light would not go off but this was down to some fuild spilling on the sensor in the cylinder .

Agreed - it's probably more likely that the fluid level is down a little and as you are accelerating the fluid is moving in the reservoir. I would check the level.

Is it also an indication that the Pads for the handbrake are wearing low ??

The light coming on under acceleration is almost certainly a low fluid level warning. The sensor is toward the front of the reservoir, so loses contact with the fluid under acceleration.
Check the pads before topping the fluid - the normale reason the fluid is low is that the pads are well worn so the pistons are sitting a long way in.
HTH!
