Just saw an ad on TV for this show, do you guys know the one I'm talking about? It's the one with the british sounding guy that tries to sort out peoples financial probems.

Anyways it appears as though this week he is trying to get some guy to sell his VR4 leggie (least I think it's a VR4, looks nice anyway) Plate is M1LION or something like that. Anyone on here? Feel sorry for the poor bugga!

it's a big issue in the UK at the moment with a record no. of Bankrupcies and high level's of debt. Search any UK news website for info (bbc.co.uk would be a good starting point).

AFAIK we have:

Your money or your life - Alvin something - very wise camp fella give good advice (often not taken on board). Good viewing IMHO. Seems to concentrate on reducing outgoings.

Bank of Dad/Mum - FA proves that kids will abuse soft parents good nature (SHOCK!). Concentrates on the different financial aspirations of 50somethings vs. 20somethings.

There is one other (possibly Money Man) that I've caught the back end off (seems to concentrate on impoving income).

Both shows illustrate that although most intelligant people recognise what they need to do/sacrifice to get back into the black; few actually have the will power see it out.

HTH Steve

BTW: Keep your eyes peeled - I'll be featured before too long :thumbsdow

I think Money Man might be a NZ show but I'm not 100% sure. Seems to be alot of these shows as well as fat people and healthy diet type shows too

Yeah I think most of those shows just show people who spend too much on things like cars, clothes, food, going out, etc without the ability to pay the bills and to save money.

Yeah that's the one, just saw an extended version of the ad where it looks as though his Mrs has a stopwatch and is timing him. Might be interesting to watch? Forgot when it's on though /duh

He paid $18k for it about a year ago, and had now got the loan down to about $18k, with another 3 years to go.

It didn't show how much he got for it, but I'd guess anywhere between 9k and 11k. The car was an auto 97 white legnum with no real big obvious mods other than being a little lowered and having ugly mags on it which cost him $3k.

It was valued at $8500 and at some stage I heard $10,500 mentioned but I don't know if that's what it actually sold for.

Brad was it honestly an auto? I can't remember but I thought it was manual ???
And yeah those mags were hideous! Mainly because of that big wheel nut type thing in the centre of it.

Still I reckon that whoever bought it got a pretty good looking car for a reasonable price.

brace yourselves guys........

I don't think there would be many cars on here that would be worth much more than $10,000 in the current market, mine included, being a 97 manual with 81,000km on the clock.
