I have a V6 and have fitted VR4 suspension – much to my surprise a VR4 weighs approximately 200Kg more than a V6 – therefore the car is sitting high (and I mean high)

Would it help to change the springs?

i.e. if I kept the VR4 shocks and replaced the springs with my old V6 springs would this help?

Mr no brains at suspension

It'll stop the car sitting so high, but the dampers will still be mis-matched to the springs.... Not sure what effect that will have.

VR4 dampers & v6 springs hmmm

VR4 dampers may stiffen up the ride and improve over the standard V6 ones or it could just be nasty.

I would try it with the VR4 shocks & V6 springs - might be ok

give it a bash and report back - you could be pioneering a new way forward in V6 suspension here! ;)

I would imagine the VR4 shocks will have stiffer damping to calm down the extra weight, you may find that it doesnt handle as well now. But no harm in trying!

Hi there,
interesting to see how it works out. But I also think that the ride will get alot more " STIFFER " and a Little if not alot unbearable. :uhoh:
