After looking at the other storm pictures
It reminded me of this
I was in Las Vegas when this happened
We drove to higher ground sat in a restaurant watching the LV news :eek:

We left restaurant after 3 hours and drove back to Hotel looked like tidal wave had hit

Not my pics as left camera in Luxor Casino :rolleyes:

Yeap very scary driving in 2 feet of fast running water in a hire car :rolleyes:
Some lorry was coming the way caused a 4 foot wall of water :scared1:
I was thinking this it it car is going to stall
But is didnt thankfully :D

I would have absolutley s**t me-self. :Cry1: I've been white water rafting down the Zambezi, but at least I didn't need a helicopter to rescue me !!:nono:

something similar...

I was in Florida two years ago with my wife and mum in law :devil2: INSERT INTO post VALUES (that was scary enough!!!)
and who joined us.... Hurricane Hugo. We had curfew from 4pm, told to stay away from windows, fill our bath and sink full of water and prey. That was scary! THe mum in law was a doddle after that.

They reversed the highway leading to fort lauderdale so all 8 lanes were heading in land!!

and the flight back, 7hours of a boeing doing an impretion of a rollercoaster.... not nice.
