Hi, anyone help me with some info/ experience. I have a 99 mdl VR4 which I'm really impressed with but the only thing it didn't come with were a set of Recaros.....managed to buy some EVO8 seat and need the subframes/adaptors for the VR4....anybody out there that can advise the best way to fit these into my car

I've got a set of official Recaro subframes for the VR4 that i've never got around to having fitted.

Drop me a PM if interested in buying them as they cost a friggin fortune from Recaro directly.

LOL! A full year between the offer and the request!

Can't you modify the rails on the normal seat to fit?

ive got evo 5 seats in mine...

the brakets it came with have been modified on the rear mounts to suit,
the front ones fit in place

Just modify the factory rails to suit...... it's not that difficult

My recaro is a bit of a bodgy weld up jobby :D

Hehe, nope i don't have them - they went with the car when i sold it before emigrating.

You would indeed likely be better just having something welded up or onto the existing frames as the evo 8 seats needed modifying before they would fit on the Recaro rails anyway as Mitsubishi had had extra bolts welded onto them.
