I'm selling my 1997 Legnum ST25 as I'm getting a new job that requires a lot of driving and I think I should get something a bit smaller and a bit more economical (read "less fun").
It's listed on trademe so check it out http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=67234730

Pics will be up soon.

Honestly dude, you aren't going to get $9k for it. Another member's 1997 vr-4 went on trademe last night for $5340 and he was trying really hard to sell it for a long time with no interest at $6500.

I would suggest you list it at $1000, put a reserve of $6k on it, and if you get anything over $6k, you've done really well.

I think I'll just see how it goes, if I don't get any interest around the $8k mark I'll drop the price. Did you ever think that maybe VR4s are particularly hard to sell because not only do they use bulk gas but they're also incredibly hard to insure. I'm only paying about $70 a month for my insurance and that's only about $7 more than for my 1800 Galant VRG I had before. Could make this easier to sell than a VR4.

I dunno, I'm on the lookout for an ST or STR myself and I've been watching a few on trademe that are advertised at about $6k, and they have been relisted about 3 times each with little interest.

They obviously use less fuel and are easier to insure, but there are a lot of ST and ST-R's for sale at the moment and there doesn't seem to be much demand.

hmmm $70 a month to insure? damn thats alot. ive got both my cars insured both (1998 Legnum VR4 and 1993 Galant VR4) at $60 a month. no lies! and dat includes my house and contents insurance. not hard to insure a VR4. When i get my full license then the insurance will go down more. If its your first time being insured with any turbo car its hard. so i dont know u may wanna speak to your insurance company again. As for the petrol part its to be expected when your running any turbo car.
