What does this thing do........

I have never used it but always have wondered what it does. I know it goes in this thingy on the dashbaord and the indicator lights flash when I put it in but not sue what it is or does.

so how does one usually know when immobiliser is armed or disarmed Nicky?

and how long do you keep that thingy in the hole for when arming/disarming?

when the alarm led is flashing the immob is on
it happens after 60sec? from disarming alarm less if door is opened
just touch it breifly is enough to disarm. Always at it by the time i get kids in car

the immobiliser should come on and go of with using the fob.

the hole normally has a light as well above it put the immob key in hole until light goes off or on depending how its wired up.
