been reading some of the threads on vr4 clutch mechanism on auto tip .. i have a problem with mine its like it is slipping .. in auto if i put my foot down and let it do its thing it used to wup round to 6000rpm and then change upto 2nd by 6500rpm .. same into 3rd and so on .. But now it is starting to change at 6000rpm but revs rising to red line and to rev limiter about 7200rpm holding there for about another second then changing up .. all in all its taking about 2 and a half seconds to change gear .. anybody had anything similar .. yours hopefully WODJ:Cry1:

Is the car fully warmed up ?
Like have you driven for at least 15 mins to get engine and tranny fluid to a good temperature

It has been mentioned on here before that driving from cold causes the revs to go a little higher before changing gear

Maybe check the AT fluid level to see its not low

As Nick says, check the AT fluid level. These are classic symptoms of not having the fluid up to the correct level. Remember to check with the gear oil warm, car on a level surface with the engine running.

If all esle fails, just try resetting your ECU by removing the battery for about 15 seconds.

When cold as suggested, mine revs quite high before changing but that isn't your problem.
