1. Is it true that the fuel filter is supposed to be changed at 54,000 miles? if so, can it be any fuel filter or it has to be genuine mitsubishi part? what happens if you dont change it aftering doing 54k +?

2. Elecric window on passenger side is playing up. I press the switch windows goes done and when clsoing it, it won't. It just automatically opens again. It keeps doing this. Any suggesstions? someoen told me years ago that there is a spray you can use to get rid of the dirt in the window sealers but not sure if they will do trick.

As you probably know - the windows will not close if there is an obstruction. For instance, mine won't close at high speed because they 'bend' and won't slot correctly, hence open again.

Check that the window is riding correctly and that there are no obvious obstructions - even a dead fly/wasp will stop it closing.

On my Ralliart list it says the fuel filter should be replaced at 45,000 miles or 60 months.

It will 'probably' be OK but if you start getting fuel cutting out then you know the filter needs changing.

No visible signs of obstruction and I wouldnt know if theres a dead fly in there somewhere without opening all the parts out. :) Im trying to think of that spray that can be used on windows but dont know what its called

On your Galant V6, the filter is every 54K, assuming it's a UK-Spec.

It's not a hard job. There's an article about it showing you how to. It's written for the VR-4, but it's the same for all models.

No. That's for the older E39A shape Galant (the 6G).

This is the one:

The VR-4 uses the same filter as the V6 - I purchased a Mitsubishi OE one from my dealer and they confirmed this.

£28 including delivery.

I called Mitsubishi today, they're doing it for £22.69. I was expecting it to be higher than that originally.
