I just had mine replaced and it was dated 2000. So that makes it 6 years.
My new battery only has a warranty of 2 years, hence my curiosity.

No idea, however it was a Jap-Spec 'SX-2' unit, so that makes it at least 3 years old at time of change.

Was around the 5 year mark in my old GLS, when phoning around for prices for once the $tealership was by far the cheapest!!!!

replaced my battery after 3 months as the dealer had put the smallest battery known to man, so I put a gel cell in for the audio. My old car in Aussie was 2 years and 3 days old when the battery shat it self, it is hard to tell and I would expect you to get a wide variety of answers,
PS the warranty on the battery was 2 years....
