Gents :sombrero:

A quick one..

My last vr4 (conaboys) had stock boost pressure of 0.55bar.

my current vr4, which is a manual has stock boost of 0.50bar...

I thought manuals were all 0.7bar? :soapbox:

Anyone know whats going on here? :book:

Am i just wrong>? :3d:

At our dyno day we found the stock boost ranged from about 0.5 bar to about 0.8, I think it all depends on the age of the car and if things are starting to loosen up or wear out.

Mine sits at 0.5 bar, still at stock at the moment. But it's an auto. I've noticed that the standard actuators and boost control solenoid are often working in an advisory capacity from what I read on my boost gauge!

I thought yours was a MANual :P

we had all manuals at the dyno day, but there was a lot of difference between them, two cars sat at 8psi through the whole rev range, and about 3 or 4 went up to about 12psi, none of them had any form of ecu or boost control at all.

Thats interesting info bud, we've always assumed, or I have, that all manuals were 280ps/0.7bar

The ones that went up to 12psi may have had factory ECUs that were chipped

Doubt it, nearly all of the cars had the same sort of boost curve, and had no other mods like exhaust or mags
