It's also in the UK you spoon, or are you looking to ship it over? I rarely look on the NZ sites TBH.

When I was living in Dundee, a mate of mine managed to pick one of these up for something daft like 2k cos the garage went into receivership

I think most of the Alpina's are autos, my boss's old (late 90's) B10 5 series was (tiptronic). Fookin awesome car though. For those of you who stayed at the Observatory last weekend and are familiar with the very short slip road going back down onto the dual carriageway....we were working round the corner at the time (1999) and he picked us up and took us for a drive.....by the time we got to the bottom of the slip road we were doing well over 3 figures. The only thing faster I've ever been in was Derek's car at Elvington.

I have been for a drive in a 4 speed auto one, 1st gear tops out at about 55mph. Acceleration was qute strange, compared to a VR-4, imagine you start off the line in 2nd gear - there isn't much at first, but it slowly builds up and gets quite exciting once you get above 4000rpm.

There is this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=71612906&key=16645 for sale in Wellington, it is a 4 speed tiptronic and has nice mags and looks stunning in that colour too. I quite like it but I'm still hanging out for a manual.

Both Brian and I can testify to that, that was an awesome day........did you manage to get the Jimbo face-print out of your window after you threw that thing full chat (+ nitrous folks!!!) into that right-hand hairpin?!!?! Memories are wonderful things, that one I will forever cherish :) :) :)
