I'm not the only member on here who likes Falkens.

They have a website IIRC?

www.falken.co.uk ?

/edit - nope! It's www.falkentyres.co.uk !

Toyo T1R's are fairly cheap too. GSD3's are priced like a mid range tyre, but they perform better than most of the really expensive tyres out there.

This true Mr Radc ! And how much cheaper can you want a set of 18's than £98 a piece.

To me it's not worth Quibbling about £10 or £15 a tyre.. They are the only thing that keeps you in contact with the road. I believe that GS-D3's are the best all round tyre for the price they cost. And as you say Mr Radc, better than tyres that cost 50% more :d

Well according to this Mr DJ Wo NO the RE050's are actually better. One thing I have noticed recently is lots of high end performance cards are coming with RE050's out of the factory, they seem to be developing a bit of a following.

I do agree with you though, 98 pounds isn't bad for 18" high performance tyres, and GSD3's are very good.

DZ101's are good, but the overall consensus is that GSD3's are a little bit better. If your's were 18" then you got a damned good price, if they are 17" then $209 isn't that great.

I have Dunlop sport 9000`s and I dont think you could do any better for the price at 70 quid a throw for 16`s on a Z rating. They wear well and grip is excellent, would fit them again.

Doesn't surprise me! Call up www.hyper.co.nz and see what they say. I realise they are up in Auckland, but it might get you some bargaining room with the other guys.

I use Continental Sport Contact directional and find them a very good all round tyre. My other car is on Avon ZV3 directionals and they stick like S to B in the dry but, they are a softer compound so may wear fast. I don't know if either type are available in your size though.

The first chance you get to push them in the wet, you'll understand why they are so popular, i always run out of nerve before i run out of grip.. (except that one time:thinking:)

Make sure you put above factory pressure in them though, cause apparently the sidewalls are a bit soft, meaning my AYC kept going nuts, a few extra psi all round, and handling was heaps better.:2thumbsup
