is it normal for the seals that go into the engine, next to the cv boot , to seep or leak as lubrication?? hjow much of a major is is to replace them if the are nackered?? i have a 2.5 v6 st

No, it's not normal for them to leak, but it's a common fault. The seal itself is cheap (about £4 here in the Damp Land). You have to pull the end of the driveshaft out to replace it though, so it's a mild mission messing with ball joints and the hub carrier. You'll also loose a bit of gearbox fluid when you take the shafts out, so make sure you have some to top up.
