My favourite moment of today's track day?

Watching Simon take on the mighty RUF Porsche (510 bhp) and pass it!

Way to go Simon ....... :2thumbsup

A great day had by all. Due to the time off fiasco, thought I'd go along and watch. Got to the gate to be greeted with the awesome sight of VR4 after VR4 going round the hairpin. Anyway talking to the guy at the gate, who was very helpfull, just happened to mention that I wish I was on there with'em. So he gets on his radio, speaks to someone, and between sessions I was escorted down to the pit area. Ticket, bought and hey, on track we go - Result. Mallory turned out to be much better than I'd expected although short, really good fun. Had to take it easy in the afternoon, brakes were a bit suss - no initial prep, as I didn't think I'd be on track. Came in after the last lap, and a familier squeeling noise and a very spongy brake pedal - oops boiled fluid and metal to metal on the pads. Ah well it was worth it and thanks guys for a great day as usual:2thumbsup :iloveyou:

Not really Rich ....... a number of people had various mechanical or other problems which slowed them down - I simply took advantage!

Thank you all for yet another excellent CVR4 event - not that it really was, but we did invade all the garages /lol !

The company as ever was awesome, and thank you to those who watched out for Conor when needed - :iloveyou:

It was great to see Andy roll in mid morning........his cough seemed ok though,,,,weird

The car seemed to survive the day, despite some issues with my coolant system. Thanks for helping me try to sort it again Andy. It will need more investigation. Going to check for any mayo in the oil in a bit /help

My favourite session of the day was the last one........in the wet of course :2thumbsup - loved every minute of it.

A couple of videos will be up soon.....so keep a look out in the depository.

Can't wait to see Jane's pics, caught a glimpse of some at lunchtime and they looked as awesome as ever.

Thanks again all - can't wait for the next one :iloveyou:

Yep, another cracking weekend :iloveyou: Great to see everyone again and special thanks to the guys who joined us at the hotel on Friday and Saturday nights - we laughed so much last night it actually hurt (but I guess you had to be there :pimp2: )

Mallory exceeded expectations as a track, although its not great for photography as there aren't enough corners!! I had a go though :)

I have uploaded the pics reduced size to save time and space on my website and also so I can try and flog a few full size ones

PICS ARE HERE (http://hjm.smugmug.com/gallery/2035447/1)

Did someone say Combe in December?

Yet again some fabulous pictures - have had a quick look but there are so many I think a coffee and an hour to sit down would be a good idea. :iloveyou:

Hope you get lots of sales from them, could be a way to self fund future track days :2thumbsup

And I thought 602 was quite reserved :inquisiti

Cheers, Pete - if it became a way to finance track days, it would be perfect but I'm guessing more like a round of drinks /Devil5

I don't think its possible to sell enough pictures to finance an entire HJM bar bill - I was only talking about one round

Heh hee, yeah I finally surfaced from my room around 11:30 and made it to Daventry for midday, got home about an hour ago....compelety knackered now, but what a cracking long weekend. Amused myself at Gemma's folks house my telling them I'd emptied a tank of petrol in 56 miles. Nobody outside of CVR4 thinks I'm sane!

Oh and a very special thankyou to Derek who entrusted me with his car for a whole twenty minutes. Awesome experience driving a well planted car with no AYC, felt totally different and took some real effort (esp without the bucket seats I'm used to) to drive, but so, so rewarding!!

Roll on the 2007 season. /Steeringw :helmet:

Kate and I had a cracking weekend. Thanks to all those who attended and especially a big thank you to those who gave us some passenger laps :2thumbsup I think I managed all 7 sessions as a passenger and each time in a different car

Kate's highlight of the day was to go out with Simon in the Skyline :2thumbsup

Some excellent pics there as ever Jane. As Pete said, I'll need to spend a bit of time to look at them in more detail :2thumbsup

Look like I missed a good one. Sorry I didn't make it but the car was filthy when I picked it up, so I braved the wetaher and washed it inside and out once i'd got home. By the time i'd finished I didn't see the point in coming up to Mallory. Mebbe next time.
