Hey all.

Just about to install the MAPECU into my Legnum. Manual isn't too clear about what exactly needs to be wired, as it's filled with alot of bs.

Anyone installed this before? Kenneth? BDA?

Thanks,
OSiRiS

I found the Maunal fairly clear and had no instalation issues. only thing I had to do was figure out which was the IAT sensor wire from the MAF so I could replace it with the one included with the MAP-ECU. I believe i documented that also.

The manual describes 3 different ways of wiring up the map-ecu (IIRC)
1) record mode (learn mode)
2) Compare mode
3) standalone mode

I made up a wiring harness to quickly swap between modes 1 and 3.

Have fun

Can I just wire it straight into standalone mode?

yes. you will then need to tune it or have it tuned. I would reccomend the latter.

If I put it into standalone mode and use an existing map, will it be ok to drive on street for the time being?

I would not advise this.
