Dash removed so i could sort it, full of cracks and chunks missing, so going to give it a fibreglass skin and felt it with black felt
i also wanted the clocks out so i could find out why i have no dash lights
to so this i had to remove all of the lower dash panels
and part of my rollcage
took out front seats for ease of access
front bumper is off to finishe getting it meshed
also took it off so i could relocate the oilcooler
this was so i could see where i am going to fit my twin electric fans, junked the belt driven viscous fan in favour of these to regain lost power
#alloys are also being repainted probably in a dark grey colour
like these
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b151/turbo-tastic/Photochops/ae86yinMATTEBLACK.jpg
future plans
well all of this is underway
new TRD 2 way LSD with a 4.1 crown wheel and pinion
Polyutherane full bushing kit
Front and Rear Control Arm bushings, Front Strut Rod bushings, Rear Track Arm bushings, Front and Rear Sway Bar bushings, Front and Rear End Links
http://www.r2racing.net/remote/prothane-18-2010.jpg
should be fun
paint the alloys
strip interior and sort dash
fit new harnesses
fitting twin electric fans in place of belt driven viscous

need to go take it for an MoT as well, that ran out on ther 31st Jan

halfshafts
tyres on wheels
and MoT tax and insure the car
----------------------------------------

it has been 2 months since the car last started and about 4 months since i have driven her
today i filled the radiator up and got her started, god what a sound, i missed that so much, the rumble from the exhaust, the sweet sound of a 4A-GE

---------------------------------------
right ok
here are whatoptions i am looking at
behind the passenger seat
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/DSC08971.jpg
in the back at the side of the arch
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/DSC08972.jpg
or in the back at the very back, next to the boot catch
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/DSC08973.jpg
what do you think is the better option
also i finally got my diff back
took 2 months through no fault of 20vWill's blame his ****ty local toyota dealer
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/DSC08974.jpg
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/DSC08975.jpg
----------------------------------
well the diff is now fitted back upto the car
still got the halfshafts to go on
and galf the driveshaft as well
i cant find the back brake pads i took off of the car which is a bit worrying as they were in perfect condition lol, might need to go buy more now
front brakes have seized, bollocks
pitworks pads on there just now
have blitz ones to go on
---------------------------------------------
here is where it all started me looking for a diff on the 19/09/2006
it is now the 01/03/2007
that truly sucks
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/297832-post1.html
--------------------------
ok then
caliper rebuild kit ordered for the rear brakes
alternator now charging properly, was one ****ing cable going from the fusebox to the alternator that had a split in it, fukcing raging, knew it would be somehting simple, just spending the time finding it
alloys have been painted same colour as the car, done at home = mega cheapness, they look quite good as well
dash is all back in, just ned to put the seats and harnesses in
battery has been relocated to the boot, from back of the passenger seat
gearbox mount is done
engine mounts are being done soon, although they look like a right pain in the arse to do any advice?
still to fit blitz brake pads to the front
sorry no pics but battery in camera is dead and my mobile had an accident with the washing machine

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/yaffa99/ae86/next/DSCF4028.jpg
also had a bit of a problem with the engine
the oil cooler burst its pipe and pissed oil everywhere when i was not there
what happened was i had the car running for about 10 minutes, went out switched the car off and went to the cinema in my other car, came back from the cinema and seen something wet under the car in the headlights and knew what it was straight away :( it was darkwhen i left for the cinema so never see the oil
on investigating the followig day the cooler pipe was burst, i have been lucky it must have burst just before i turned the engine off as the engine is 100% fine thats the updates for now
---------------------------------
collected some new parts from Paz yesterday at the Big X show in teeside, Cheers for bringing them up for me saved me coming down to stoke to ge em.

now hopefully with these fitted to the car i can drift just like paz ;)

yeah the starion has the 15" version of these alloys IIRC they are exactly the same just bigger and 5 stud, where as mine are only 14" and 4 stud
this is a labour of love, and my dad does most of the work on the car, as i am not that mechanicly minded, altough i am learning more everytime we work on the car lol
