i have found one or two flaws with these pads
1) you will use a lot more fuel , coz i can garentee you will stop 50 yds short of every junction

2) your face will ache like hell coz every time you push the brake pedal you will grin like an idiot as your head goes flying towards the windscreen

hehe sounds good :) What tyres do you have on the car? I found that with the factory 185 tyres on the 626 it would lock the rear wheels all the time, once we changed them to something nicer it was almost impossible to lock them.

225/45/17's so not down to a total lack of grip , in fact apart from 2 yrs ago in the snow its the only time i've ever felt the abs kick in

They sound like good brakes then. Judging from that thread on MLR they last fairly well too, I will be keen to hear updated progress reports on how they wear and how bad the brake dust is.

there is sweet FA brake dust so far even after doing a few 100-10 mph hard stops to finish the bedding in

Second that - these redstuffs need an urgent appointment with the bin! /grr

It could get a bit complicated, the group buy would involve pads for brembo's, normal vr-4 brakes, there are 2 or 3 sorts of brakes used on non vr4's as well I think :)

Nah - we just do the order for pre-facelift VR-4 pads Brad (PSB has retrofitted these). Another way to punish those eejits who purchase facelift cars! /Nuuu /Devil5

you're just jealous because you don't have brembo's :)

Actually I thought pre and post facelift VR-4 pads were the same?

Actually I thought pre and post facelift VR-4 pads were the same?if you read one of the mlr threads on these pads , there is talk of these pads in 2 pot calipers being better than brembos with ebc red / blue stuffs . and these pads in brembos better than AP / KAD setups . so to be honest we pre-facelift owners don't need brembos :scholar:

I'm still wiping Stephens(SCC's) Snot from my windscreen and dash from last weekend. Even an imprint of his tonsils on the Dash.

PS.. Hows the Bathroom :D

My V6 also has twin pot VR4 calipers. Is there a difference between pre and post facelift VR4 calipers then?

I have the Evo1-3 pnp board which starts life as an Evo4 pnp unit with a few slight mods to make it work on the early cars :)

Group buy maybe possible but im already discounting these pads so dont know if theres a lot to be shaved off...depends on numbers i guess. Going to be pretty busy this next 2 weeks getting my car ready and all the pads built for the MLR trackday at Oulton on the 25-11-06, after that we can see about bulk buys maybe :D

If anyone wants to pop along to Oulton on the 25th for a demo feel free, i will be running the XP8 in my evo2, and if its dry will be trying the XP10 full race pad

Cheers

I'd be interested in a set of front pads. Front discs need changing and I may as well get new pads in at the same time.
