I love the way an truely talented artist can make a seemingly random mark, knowing full well how it will be used to make up the final picture.

Incredible. :2thumbsup

That is really cool.

I remember seeing street artists doing that sort of thing somewhere (although I can't for the life of me remember where), but the paper they used was massive - more like 10ft by 6ft. That took some tallent because they had to lean across it, and used their bodies to form the shapes (e.g. through kneeling).

Mind you, I can imagine that some people would want this picture in their house, but I can't imagine many people would want one that was 10ft by 6ft! Actually, come to think of it, it might have just been a variation on busking.

Still well worth watching, even though I've seen it done before :2thumbsup

I bought one of these off a guy in Fremont St in Vegas 2 weeks ago. It's blummin amazing to watch. Took him 5 minutes to finnish. They were going for $35, and as soon as they were done someone had there name on it.

The picture is quite pretty, but...

The reason he can do it as he does is that half of the appeal is the performance of watching him do it. He's done it a great many times, and as such is just churning out variations of the same thing over and over again.

Yes, he's producing nice pictures and I'm sure it took a long time to learn to do it in such a polished way, but at this point in the process it's not really very creative anymore.

In case you're wondering, the reason for that opinion is that my mother is an artist, and I see creative blocks, creative outpouring, development of styles and techniques over years, abandonment of styles, etc... It's a bit different.

Saw a guy in the street, with paper stuck on pavement with masking tape, outside the Louvre in Paris (ironic) doing these about 5 years ago, bought three as was gobsmacked with his ability.
BUT,
as you say, the attraction is seeing him doing it, got bored with the pictures after a short while and took them down.

Here ya go...

It's a band called Neu! - track 'Hallagallo'

I think the band were on one of the Kill Bill movie soundtracks.
