well, finally got the last of the bits i needed to install my new sub,

its a Digital Design 3515
(DVC 2ohm coils) (1200w RMS)

http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=3500d

its in a custom built 3 cubic foot box,
slot ported, and tuned to 40hz
box has a sloped face and a step in the back to allow me to still use the boot blind to cover it...

this is running of my caliber CA2000D+
1250w RMS @ 1ohm,

im actually a bit dissiponted with the volume of it... was hoping for louder boomier bass..
still trying to get all the lpf and subsonic filters right, im sure once its tuned in right it'll be good

Very nice Gly ;) Welcome to the DD camp ;)

Get another CA2000D+ and strap it up. I'm running 2 x 3512s and putting 3000wRMS into each (2 x Eaudio 1000D loaded down to .5 ohm for each sub, 4 x Eaudio 1000D in total) and I set a new personal best of 148.1dB certified on a TermLab pro in the weekend to take out Street B class at Botany Auto Sound and Security finals ;)

The only problem with this is you will have a generator in the car... /Grrr They make a really bad noise strapped.. :embarasse

I haven't done any deadening. Even though I know I should. With the hatch closed you can't hear any panels vibrate. But you can see the roof go insane.

Yes, come to a soundoff to just see what you do. You will be surprised once you get a pro to have a look at your settings -a setup like that is definately worth putting in the dB drag lanes :)

never heard of anyone having issues with strapping 2 Caliber amps,

It was a normal feature in Sam's(aer0) rolla when he had two 2000D's strapped together.. Didnt make any difference in sound just was a background noise...
