After months of farting about I have finally got a brake kit sorted for the pre-facelift VR4 and fitted it. I think it looks cool:afro: and it is 5kg lighter per wheel than the standard setup.

I just have to get them bled and bedded in then I can comment on their performance:evilgrin:

Where has the weight been saved from? The rotor or caliper?

The weight has been saved on both Brad but mostly the caliper.

Bal, if you want some I can get them but I need 3 orders:inquisiti

Steve, the dics are standard size 295mm so that they will fit under a standard rim.

I think it worked out to £965 all in Bal.

Correctamundo. £965 all in. First impressions are good. Bedded in the pads and they seem to have plenty of bite. Bear in mind though that I am not trying to brake from 120mph!! That will come later:evilgrin:
Pedal is a bit spongy so need to re-bleed the brakes and give it some stick. They are noisy and probably wouldn't suit someone who just wants new brakes. These are for people who are going to track their cars or who drive hard and want a set of pukka race quality brakes.

Saw these in the flesh before Marcus fitted them. They certainly look well made, and the weight saving on the caliper is remarkable. Full tests awaited with interest.:2thumbsup
