Nice. Have always like those. Is it a 1.8 ?

Cool! Always liked Alfa's, despite poor reputation for build quality, refinement, electrics, durability... they are always reported to drive well. It could do with some bigger wheels, some 17's off a GTV would suit.

Prefer the 406 coupe in the background.

its a 2.0 so around 155bhp, almost as quick as a v6 galant!

so far so good - had it around 4 weeks now and nothing has fallen off, broken, or broke down!

at the end of the day its just cheap transport to get the kids to school, the tractor is the main car now.....

Isaac, the 406 is a pile of french poo, its so poo that the reg plate is B11 POO, may be the owners are scatologists

I love Alfa's.......glad you're getting on ok with it mate  I agree with Steve though that it could do with some bigger alloys

bigger alloys would be nice, but i'm not spending any money on this car (aint got any money anyway!!!) it just cheap transport for now.
im hoping to get something more project orientated next year after the house move.

Not a patch on my current runaround. A 1999 1.3 Proton Persona. I kid you not, been driving it for 2 months and it hasn't missed a beat (apart from a cracked cylinder head and spewing clouds of white smoke out of the exhaust on Friday)

Skarloey clatters on.... And on...And on.... And on....

In nearly a year he's had the following done:

Cambelt, tensioners and waterpump (only 20,000 miles overdue!) £170.
Front Discs (£15 for the PAIR!)
Front Pads (£15)
MOT (£40)
Rear brake shoes (£18)
P/S belt (£8)
New Alternator - the old one worked, but the bearings were shot (£150)
New Alternator belt (£5)
Couple of oil changes (£50 - Amsoil and a good filter each time!)
Gearbox oil (£30)
Filters (Fuel, Air, oil, Pollen - About £40 all in)

Oh, and he's saved us about £2012 in fuel alone so far - and at least £500 in the fact that he doesn't need attention every 3,000 miles! :smug:
