Hello everyone! This seems like a nice friendly forum :D

I am soon to be the owner of what I hope will be a lovelly Legnum VR4, and I think I may possibly be the youngest owner on here at 22?

I live in Cardiff, and I am a big mountain biker, hence why I have bought a big car!
Currently driving a Nissan Almera GTi, which is pretty nice, but have bought a Legnum VR4 because I want more space and something with a big more poke.

Hi mate and welcome to CVR4

When do you get the car ? Is it a local purchase or on the ship from Japan ?

You'll find us all a friendly bunch so don't be afraid to ask questions, and of course make use of the search facility as most things have probably been covered before.

Welcome :) You're not quite the youngest, I can think of a few members that are younger than you, and I bought my first VR-4 when I was 20.

This was my first Legnum I got it when I was 18

I'm hopfully picking the car up this weekend, its not exactly local, but its within the UK :)

I was pretty amazed how cheap the insurance is, for such a powerful car.

Now thats a highly discussed topic on the forum - some people struggle to get good insurance quotes - who did you arrange it with?

I'm with elephant, I was paying £440 fully comp on the Almera, its going to cost an extra £230 for the Legnum, which considering my age is not too bad I thought, especially as they usually charge over the odds for changing cars half way through your policy. No one would touch me on an Impreza or Evo.

I am on a 10 month policy.. roll on september, 4 years NCB then I can protect it!

I just phoned my insurance company to switch it over, and while there was a little confusion I'm happy its right.
They had no Legnum on thier records, so its insured as a Galant VR4 (import). I asked if I needed to specify the body type (ie. Estate) and they said no.

So, seeing as the Legnum and Galant are basically the same, I'm sure that will be fine.

Yup Elephant. But I'd guess the whole Admiral group would have them missing too.
