'I was doing 20mph off a roundabout & lost control hitting the railings at the side of the road'

Me thinks he's talking p00p!
What do you think :inquisiti

Almost believable if it was a powerful RWD car in the wet, but not a puny little FWD thing like that.

Either a bit faster than 20, or a bit more drink than is legal :D

a roundabout both ends loads of fun.

not so much know with traffic calming /Grrr

if you look at the map he has just come of the big roundabout to the left (3 lanes) and it comes in to a three lane road have got to be hard on the power to get results like that.

Ive come round there at about **mph sideways in the rain./rally

its good fun that one , trust me though 60 in an empty transit in the rain is so much more fun /rally , the looks you get :pimp2:

well if ford will put a nice torquey engine in a lightweight rwd drive vehicle , with all the traction of wet soapy lino , then what do you expect , mind you every roundabout / junction / corner was probably a bit over the top , but use it while you have it :afro:

yes i do the same if the van is empty, mines only the 2.5 so not to much power but when it goes way hay /rally

you should try a 500 bhp daf 95 supper space cab with no trailer in the rain then you get some looks about driving it sideways. /haz/rally

Saxo's do collapse very easily. Saw one recently in Bracknell that side swiped a Focus (overtaking when the Focus was waiting to turn right!) he could not have been going that fast but the car was a right state and one of the front wheels (complete with suspension) got riped off.

I'm pretty sure that is a 20mph limit now and with speed cameras too ... so I guess he's watching what he says !

our old one was a 2.5 , but it was one of those that was always a bit better , it went like **** off a shovel , and very reliable as well . as for the daf 95 :afro: but a power liner 2 merc with the ttv8 and eps box was quite entertaining , especially in the snow , throttle hard down and just keep giving it the gears and it just keeps on sliding , hours of fun

Ooof

Bad one.

The 106 Gti is a great car by the way. It crumples easily yes, but ive known a few folk who have had accidents in the them, and while the car is super pooped.... they were unhurt.

The 106 GTi is a great car imo, especially with a supercharger. :)

It may well be, but thats irrelevant here, as we are talking about a 1.1 Saxo SX

Same car different names , ****roen and Pgu shared the same chasis and floor plan , only difference was cosmetic . All of that maybe wrong but I believe it's correct

Saxo and 106 are only different in the lights and grille really.

I was going to comment that where the door meets the A-Pillar looked rather distorted for a 20mph impact! :speechles
