Any advice
I'm looking to replace the front disks on my 2000 Facelift Estate VR4 (official Ralliart)
Not looking to upgrade at this point to Evo bundle but just to replace disks and pads.

Need to find a supplier and also just some advice on various options on price and performance. Maybe go for really good pads or vica versa(disks).. you know what I mean?

So sliding scale boys and girls..
what do you reckon?
Cheers all
:)

If the pads and discs are the same for a pre-facelift VR4 then I have a set of hardly used dimpled and grooved discs complete with lucas pads. I will try to get some piccys up on the for sale section tonight!

The National Discs & Ferodo Pads are regarded as the best, and quite cheap, have a search on the forums.

Id be tempted to try a Project Mu or Endless combo from Funky Styling though, as no-one else has tried them yet.

Camskill also sell drilled discs for the vr4.

if you want to peel your face off the windscreen everytime you brake try the carbotech pads , trust me you will not be sorry , when i first fitted mine i was having to drive forwards another 10 mtrs at every junction, and the abs kicking in at 70 in the dry is a bit of a novelty when it first happens

8th generation VR4 discs and pads are the same, regardless of car age. They are the same as the Evo 4's, which helps as many people don't list the VR4.

You've had them for nearly 2 months now? Hows the wear looking on them?

Cheers soapy

The National discs with Ferodo DS2500 seem to be a good option the link seems to be dead for the supplier will persist.
Reckon this is a safe option, still making my mind up.

Just read a post from Darren stating that he had quite a serious problem with National disks.. and apparently you can't get grooved National dsks for the VR4 anymore.
Gawd this is getting complicated!

3g also sell discs for the vr4... lots of choice, drilled/grooved etc, they were fine for me, and well priced.

Sorry - 8th generation obviously didn't mean anything to you. Yes, the standard brakes take the same discs and pads from 96 on, regardless of auto/manual or saloon/estate.
